About Leela Permanand - Photographer from Trinidad & Tobago

Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, Leela Permanand relocated to London in 2024. Leela's love for photography and travel began in childhood, inspired by her mother's National Geographic subscription, while her multicultural upbringing fostered her love for diverse cultures. After earning a BA in Spanish with a minor in International Relations, she taught English in Colombia solidifying her desire to explore the world. The COVID pandemic allowed her to focus on her artistry, particularly photography, leading her to mentor with photographer Gabriella Wyke.

Leela aspires to showcase her work on a global platform, with a particular focus on the beauty and intricacies of nature. Ultimately, her goal is to inspire others through her art and share her passion for the world and nature with a wider audience.
